From May 2025,
the Society will host
a new event – Westmoot,
taking place annually in the USA.
Westmoot will include many of the features
that we all know and love about Oxonmoot
– talks, quizzes, lectures,
workshops, performances,
papers, discussions,
and entertainments –
but in a more convenient
(and affordable) location
for our North American members.

Westmoot will take place
May 9th-11th in Kansas City, Missouri,
at the National WWI Museum and Memorial.
This location offers unique insight into «The Great War»,
in which Tolkien served as an officer for the British Army,
an experience that profoundly influenced his life and writings.
