Lola speaks Esperanto
<<<
Esperanto has
miaŭi ’to meow’,
miaŭo ‘a meow, a mew’,
and miaŭ ‘meow!’
(this last basically
a sound effect).
Actually almost all Esperanto words are derived from words occurring in national languages, modified to fit Esperanto’s phonology, to make them easier to pronounce, and/or to avoid homonyms.
It’s why there are several etymological dictionaries of Esperanto!
If memory serves, the only Esperanto root
that Zamenhof pulled out of thin air is edz-,
as in edzo ‘husband’,
edzino ‘wife’,
geedziĝi ‘get married’,
etc. etc. etc.
