Bio
Xavier Verdaguer is an entrepreneur from Barcelona based in Silicon Valley who, in the past 16 years, has launched several technological innovation companies. Xavier has degrees in Information Systems Engineering and Technical Architecture from the Universidad Politecnica de Cataluña and has completed graduate studies at Stanford University. Xavier began his professional career as an IT Director for Consulting Taller de Ingenierías, S.A. and, at the age of 25, began his career as a serial entrepreneur.
In 1997 he founded his first company under the brand TMT Factory and BCN Media, which offers Software Engineering and Multimedia Communication services. Xavier was CEO of TMT Factory for 11 years. At this stage, Xavier overcame the 2001 technology sector crisis, situated TMT Factory at an international level with 50 employees, and worked for clients such as Gas Natural, Deutsche Bank, Barceló and JCDecaux. Xavier ceded the post as director in April 2009, shortly after becoming a shareholder in the Sequoia PWM Fund in an operation involving an investment of 7.4 million Euros.
Xavier Verdaguer currently resides in Palo Alto (California) where he founded Innovalley, Inc. in 2010 (www.innovalley.us).
Innovalley is a company that develops smart fabrics combining the creativity of Barcelona with the latest generation American technology.
Xavier Verdaguer also founded in Silicon Valley a software development company called Seven4seven and Imagine Creativity Center (www.imagine.cc).
The main objectives of Imagine is to generate disruptive ideas to change the world and to change the lives of people involved in the creation of these ideas.
Xavier Verdaguer is also a member of the San Francisco-Barcelona-San Francisco Sister City Committee (www.sf-bcn.com),
